Crosspoint House changes

by Sunita Gordon on 30 June, 2013

Because of extremely low usage by the public, the opening times at the Safer Neighbourhoods base at Crosspoint House at 28 Stafford Road, Wallington, are changing.

The front counter will close for the last time on Wednesday 19th June to reopen as a ‘contact point’ the following day (Thursday 20th June) between 1900-2000hrs. Thereafter, it will then be open three times during the week as follows:

– 1400-1500 on Saturdays
– 1900-2000hrs on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

The changes are being introduced under the Met’s Local Policing and Estates Plan.

Inspector Ian Hicks, who is responsible for the teams policing the eastern side of the borough, including Wallington, said: “It’s all about us using our resources to have the greatest benefit for local communities.

“The public will still have access to us at Crosspoint House, and at Sutton Police Station and at Worcester Park Police Office. Plus residents can contact us by phone and online too. We remain committed to providing the highest levels of policing services in the borough.”

Sutton Police Station at 6 Carshalton Road, Sutton, will continue to remain open 24/7 whilst the opening times at Worcester Park Police Office at 154 Central Road, Worcester Park, will remain as 10am-2pm Monday – Friday.

Members of the public can also contact police in one of the following ways:

On the phone
Call us on 101 to report a crime that has already happened or make us aware of any local issues. Textphone (minicom) is also available on 18001.

In an emergency always call 999
