Sutton Council continues to fund charities to Combat Domestic Abuse.

by Sunita Gordon on 21 May, 2023

To confront Domestic Abuse, Sutton Council Commissions six exemplary charities to provide the service on behalf of Sutton Council. These organisations are tirelessly dedicated to providing vital support for Sutton residents who find themselves in the grip of Domestic Abuse. These are:

  1. Cranstoun – cranstoun.org/
  2. Home-Start Sutton – homestartsutton.org.uk/
  3. Jigsaw4u – jigsaw4u.org.uk/
  4. Sutton Women’s Centre – suttonwomenscentre.co.uk/
  5. Hestia – hestia.org/sutton
  6. The Limes College – thelimescollege.org/

Domestic abuse indiscriminately afflicts people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship types – extending from familial bonds to cohabitations and dating scenarios. We must remember that, while women predominantly represent the victim demographic, men too can be, and indeed are, victims of this heinous act.

Sutton’s battle against domestic abuse transcends all socio-economic, ethnic, and age parameters. In our commitment to this cause, we’ve inaugurated numerous campaigns, formed partnerships with esteemed charities, and initiated local programmes that confront this issue head-on.

If you are aware of anyone who could potentially benefit from these services, please encourage them to seek the help they need. Detailed information on these services is available on https://www.sutton.gov.uk/w/domestic-abuse-where-to-get-help. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can build a safer Sutton.
