Concerns have been received regarding excessive water on Mill Lane, Carshalton, near the Mill Pond Place, bridge entrance; The gullies at this location do not discharge into the main line sewer system but actually discharge into the river. When the water level is high in the river, water backs up the outlet pipe and spills onto the road as surface water. Because this is not well known, most residents believe the gullies to be blocked at this location in fact they are not.
